The ECA or Retirement Allowance constitute a commitment, known as a social liability, which every company must include in the notes to its balance sheet. How it works
The contract covers all causes of employee departure subject to mandatory payment of compensation as defined in the Labor Code and the General Collective Labor Agreement applicable to companies in the private and para-public sectors in the Republic of Benin.
It also guarantees the payment of a capital sum in the event of the death or absolute and permanent disability of a member. The guaranteed death benefit for each member can be set by the company or calculated according to article 37 of the same collective agreement.
